Pastor Dr. Julia Helmke
Pastor Dr. Julia Helmke, originally from Bavaria, has a special emphasis on culture and film in particular. For many years, she was head of the department of arts and culture in the Haus kirchlicher Dienste ("House of Church Services") before moving to Berlin to lead a department in the office of President Joachim Gauck.
From 2017 to 2021, Dr. Julia Helmke was General Secretary of the Kirchentag (German Evangelical Church Assembly). She is now Oberkirchenrätin in the main church office of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hannover in charge of the department of theology, worship and music .
